A Report -

Heat Waves was on full swing at Indore & Delhi. After warm see off at Indore railway Station and interview by few T.V. Channels we all set on train Compartment. Reached Delhi and Dehradun by Bus. After Breakfast at Rajpur Resort we boarded on Hill Bus (Small Bus with expert driver for Mountains) . After Lots of SONGS, DANCE, JOCKS and *^%%^*%*% we all reached our Base camp NARAD CHATTY.

Base camp was situated at the deep gorge made by Yamuna River. Beautiful place and surprisingly the water was not cold as compared to last year Base camp.

Next day we all set for Yamnotri Temple visit – a Hard day but no one wants to miss this chance to make ONE DHAM and also the temptation of Hot Water Spring. It was highly energy bath at Sulphar Spring. Sanjay & Vivek also Carried DOLY for few feet… . .

We also experienced the ARTIFICIAL CLIMBING WALL & our Delhi group enjoys FLYING FOX activities.

Base Camp to CAMP I - Next morning our rucksack are ready to board on our back and all trekker are moved for Camp One i.e. KUNALI THATCH ( THATCH means BUGYAL means MEDOWS means BIG GRASS Ground). Myself and Vivek having two teams for Volleyball ( game of 51 points – gunnies record ) . I am going to win but BUT “Navin ne aa kar sara khal bigad diya” after all he is a good player of v. ball .and after good fight I lost by 47 – 51 .. no matter - -JO HARA vo SIKANDER aur JO JITA vo BANDAR….

AIR PISTOL SHOOTINGS was also organized.

I have also distributed the area map containing various peaks and passes – and given a brief about the topography.

CAMP I to CAMP II - This was easy day and beautiful trek – along the HANUMAN GANGA River ,, crossing the foot bridge . .Villages . .Schools … .TIC TAC with children, thick forest full of PINE and OKE Trees , Strawberries on ground, yellow and Violet flowers on meadows . .Cap II Kandowa Thatch – another beautiful camp site.

SPECIAL DELIVERY FOOD – South Indian

CAMP II to CAMP III - -SEMA Thatch – Climbing High Mountain and crossing thick forest – sema thatch was one of the beautiful camp site I have ever seen.

It was on a plateau and surrounds by high snow packed mountain like – BANDARPOONCH, BLACK PEAK, WHITE PEAK, KALA NAG, and HANUMAN PEAK.

This camp was too big as it contains two groups Nos 524 & ours- so first day crowd around 150 persons . . . . .. .150 persons at camps - at 3300 m height . .Amazing crowd.

SEMA Thatch – BANGANI THATCH - Next morning after see off to group no. 524 we climbed towards BANGANI Thatch – this was most awaited event cos we are moving towards GLACIERS . SNOW – white - -COLD GLACIERS . .and suddenly We received MOBILE signals . .so we started a MOBILE STD PCO at the height of 3500 m. and everybody eager to talk on phone . . Pankaj successfully getting signals, Vivek also get his line, Tanvi and Rupin got their Results ( Passed at least …. . ..with good marks … party still on hold … .and me signal “kabhi aata hai aur kabhi chala jata hai”

MAHAK, RUPIN, SUMMAR, RAGHAV, ABHI, VIBHA, ABHYSHAY enjoyes the “BARF KA LADDU” with jaljeera and Rooh Afzah. )*&(_^_(*&%^)^%^()& .......Mad People ......... .... . .

It’s a remarkable day for Me and Sanjay because we have successfully climbed the
GOLA TOP – 4100 m.

Though it was a very Hard Climb and high wind pressure any how we manage to set our foot on Mountain top .A great day for OUTDOOR ADVENTURES . .

View from GOLA TOP is superb – it’s unpredictable different scenery from the Bangani Thatch, We thought that we are moving towards another world.

After Prayer and Prashad ( Mountains are the power and we should respect them. We had taken permission from the mountain - oh please allow us to climb on you.. we were pleased to clime . .and we manage to climb .. cos nature is god so RESPECT NATURE in any FORM.

We also enjoys Glissading , BUSH CRAFT and step making on snow.

CAMP III – BASE Camp – all Descend . .Descends and Descends.. till BASE Camp .. Few persons also visited POWER PLANT and some body visited Villages . We had given many Tablets to Villagers - -few having Stomach Pain, fever and somebody demanding medicine for Paralysis – oh god what we can do .. we are not doctors . .and we don’t have those medicine . .what to do … we can't do anything ...... ...................GOD BLESS THEM . .Mountain life was not easy as it looks. .. .

BASE CAMP – Now it looks warmer – few having chance to get bath (after 7 days) and few still don’t . . “APNI APNi Marzi Hai”. .. . .As our’s was the last batch so all camp site was also dismantled with us . and A BIG Pooja carried out at Base camp for the Successfully running of this year Long Trekking expeditions.

Now it’s time to say good by to this valley – camp site - -cooks - -camp leader and Yamuna River . .

During Return Journey we visited Mussoorie – A beautiful short visit, purchased memento for love ones and time to say good BYE.

”DIL ME KUCH ACHA NAHi LAG RAHA THA” but we are with a promise to meet NEXT YEAR and hope that we will keep alive our memories and exchange our thoughts on e-mail, SMS or any other means.
